    You are comparing a Mahindra to the real thing. There is no comparison. The borrowed BSA tank badges do not produce a conversion, nor do the video clips that show the Mahindra waddling through very gentle bends. I will take my cue from this comparison. I will paint RAF roundels on my Cessna 170 and claim that it is a Spitfire.

    I have just done a ecu flash and added power commander with auto tune. Have to disagree with the Dyno man. Autotune will update your map for the riding conditions you are in all the time versus the Dyno is optimized only for one set of conditions. I do have Dyno maps for the ecu and pc to get the bike into a useable map quickly and then auto tune keeps adjusting.

    16T front pinion gear is the cheapest and most noticible improvement you can do to this bike. Second biggest improvement, at a fairly cheap cost is the TEC cam. If you need anything more, buy another bike. Seriously.

    Other videos have actually complained there bike is too low when the kick stand is used (and it is). Yours does seem to sit the bike more straight up. Thats weird.

  • @iwannaapple7190
    @iwannaapple7190 4 дня назад

    I liked the video. Just thought I'd make a comment about the speed in particular. 70mph is fast enough. It plenty for riding in traffic. Every one always thinks you need speed to get out of the way cause thats what your used to. Your used to "Available power". I've been driving trucks for 32 years now and you know just about every truck I've ever driven, except a few, max speed was between 55mph and 72 mph and I've always seem to get where I'm going. Its just a different set of skills and timing so don't let that deter you from getting a Himalayan. I'm actually thinking about selling my Goldwing and getting this exact bike. I'm tired of all that weight at my age. 998 pounds is wearing me out.

    • @tpcreeper2185
      @tpcreeper2185 4 дня назад

      I sold my 2014 Indian Vintage ( which I had for 10 glorious years) for the Himalayan and it gives me all the smiles per mile at a fraction of the cost.

    Not much need for a sleeve valve after 2-stroke engines were designed. 2-stroke engines use ports in the cylinder and have fewer moving parts. Nice to have a sleeve valve engined bike as a museum exhibit, though.

    • @johndumarney1630

      @@johndumarney1630 Right. 4-stroke. Aproximately half the power of a 2-stroke. But with no requirement to mix oil into the fuel. Still have the oil burning & heat problems of a sleeve-valved 4-stroke to deal with. But, I can understand why they fell out of fashion. Interesting museum exhibit and piece of history, though.

  • @noahwail2444

    The Bristol car compagny used sleevevalves in their luxury models prewar (they are very quiet), and made the Hercules radial airplane engine and later the Centaurus for use in a number of, mainly, bomberplanes. After their teeding problems they were very well liked. Napier used the system in their Sabre engines, H24s, used in Hawker Typhoons and Tempests, they became very powerfull. There is a guy making a chopper with a singlecylinder sleevevalved engine now, he is about to be finiced. I always liked the type.
